All Volunteers Must Be Registered Before They Can Help
All positions on the team are voluntary.
No one is required to work with the team during a disaster.

REGISTRATION WILL ONLY BE DELAYED.***
You MUST complete all the requirement listed on the SMART website
(www.smart-mass.org/howtovolunteer.html) as well as:
1) Rabies vaccine required for anyone working directly with animals. Proof
of titer or rabies vaccine within the last 5 years will be required. If you do
not have a current titer or vaccine you will be asked to sign a waiver
stating you are aware of the risk of working with unvaccinated animals.
2) All interested persons are welcome to attend monthly meetings which are
held by conference call or at the Massachusetts Emergency Management
Agency at 400 Worcester Road, Framingham. Please check the meetings
page for updated meeting information. Training opportunities relating to
animals in disasters are also offered to members.
3) All registered members MUST sign up to the Veterinary Team's group
website for members. You will receive an invitation to do so after filling
out the volunteer form.

PROFESSIONAL EMERGENCY PLANS IN PLACE PRIOR TO JOINING THE
TEAM***)
