All Volunteers Must Be Registered Before They Can Help
All positions on the team are voluntary.
No one is required to work with the team during a disaster.
PLEASE NOTE: ALL FORMS AND INSTRUCTIONS CAN BE FOUND ON THE
SMART WEBSITE AT: www.smart-mass.org/howtovolunteer.html
You MUST complete all the requirement listed on the SMART website
(www.smart-mass.org/howtovolunteer.html) as well as:
1) Rabies vaccine required for anyone working directly with animals.
Proof
of titer or rabies vaccine within the last 5 years will be required. If you
do
not have a current titer or vaccine you will be asked to sign a waiver
stating you are aware of the risk of working with unvaccinated animals.
***ALL VOLUNTEERS SHOULD HAVE THEIR OWN PERSONAL AND
PROFESSIONAL EMERGENCY PLANS IN PLACE PRIOR TO JOINING THE
TEAM***)
