Welcome to the Veterinary Services Team. We are part
of the State of Massachusetts Animal Response Team
(SMART).
We are a team of veterinarians, technicians, animal care
professionals and people who care about animals and
who are dedicated to providing medical care to all
animals during disasters. Our mission is to assist the
State of Massachusetts with the care of animals during
disasters, to provide veterinary oversight and advice
regarding animal related issues and public health.
HOW TO JOIN OUR TEAM:
In order to care for animals during a disaster all
volunteers must become registered with the team. The
State of Massachusetts will turn away any unregistered
